What are som advantages and disadvantages of electric, hydrogen, biodeisel, solar, ethanal, and methanal cars.

How to purchase and use Renewable Energy Certificates?

Can someone please explain if and how I can buy renewable energy certificates for my apartment electricity use. My local energy company does not currently provide renewable energy and I am under the impression I can buy certificates from renewable energy companies and use those certificates to pay for my current electric bill.

Can you please explain this process.

Describe all of the renewable energy alternatives presented in the video.?

Describe all of the renewable energy alternatives presented in the video.
-What are some challenges with using and managing these alternative, renewable energy resources?
-Name at least one other renewable energy resource not presented in the video.
-Include a response to the following:
Nonrenewable energy resources include coal, oil, and natural gas.
Describe three common challenges with managing nonrenewable energy resources.

Who is down for using permaculture and new sustainable energy technology to put corporations out of business?

Come on, now. We can do better than following the destructive plans of corporations and governments.
I’m doing it, and I think you should too.

Why is green energy referred to as alternative energy?

Wouldn’t it make more sense to call it "green," "clean," or "renewable" energy? Just what exactly is green energy an alternative to? Is it an alternative to global warming, dependency on fossil fuels, deforestation, depletion of the earth’s resources, extinction of several species, and acid rain? Is it an alternative to fighting wars over oil, oil lobbyists trying to run the show, and large corporations getting tax breaks and large subsidies? It doesn’t sound like an alternative to me; it sounds like a solution. What do you think?

I am writing a research paper on alternative and renewable energy and I want to see if you can answer this?

Below is my intro sentence to that single topic in the paper, what could i write about that goes with it?

Corresponding to the last perception on hybrid fuel, Ethanol has its own response to the fuel industry.

What is a benefit of using renewable energy resources?

A. No pollution
B. Saves money
C. Clean fuel
D. Sustainable energy

I can’t figure out which one it would be….I was thinking no pollution, but that’s also similar to the answer clean fuel…The answer is NOT sustainable energy.
10 points to ANYONE who answers!!!!!

Would a $100 Billion investment be enough to produce sustainable energy?

I was thinking would an investment of one hundred billion dollars to research cheap, clean and renewable energy be enough?

What are some new and potentially useful alternative energy sources?

I’m looking for something besides the usual fuel cells, solar collectors, photovoltaic cells, waste-to-energy, hydro-electric, etc. I think I read somewhere about harnessing body heat for energy. Anyone know anything about that or can give me some links on that or on other developing technologies for alternative sources of energy away from gasoline and natural gas?
Wind mills is included in the "etc.".

Geothermal energy is often the great hope of renewable energy as it can be continuously and reliably produced?

Geothermal energy is often the great hope of renewable energy as it can be continuously and reliably produced 24/7. While it it has the best potential, it is very limited geographically. The best geothermal resources are in Alaska and California, and the best potential resources are west of the Rockies. How do we overcome the geographic limitations of geothermal energy?

What do you think of replacing oil with alternative renewable energy?

I’ve always thought that alternative energy is a smart idea. Energy sources like Wind, Tidal, Hydroelectric, Hydrogen etc. are much cheaper and cleaner than fossil fuels like Oil and Coal. Also, by switching to renewable energy, we would be able to avoid future oil spills and explosions like the gulf oil leak that we are dealing with currently. For people that are still weary of getting rid of oil, alternative energy will provide america with thousands of jobs and a boost to the economy. What is you’re opinion about this subject?
I am a conservative, but I’ve never understood why most of the Republican Party is so bound and determined to stop renewable energy in it’s tracks. It creates jobs (which everyone wants), and it helps our one and only home: Earth. I don’t understand why anyone would be against that.

questions about a model solar plus electric house?

okay so i volunteered to do a project for aerospace, but the problem is my councilor told me and my group like 3 months late, s i have about 1 month left. but anyways, i have a few questions on getting the electricity running and powering water and heat.

1. what exactly do i use to make the electricty? (like what type of wires that can fit into a 2×3 ft appr. model house)
2. what can i use to make the water run and what can i use for pipes?
3. we also have to measure the temperature and/or humidity it takes to power the solar, so what can i use for that?

thanks

Is alternative energy a pipe dream in the short run?

Should the citizens of the united states demand the government provide energy by any means until the technology and the hardware for alternative energy are ready?

I am not saying alternative sources of energy will not happen, of course they will, but we need energy now.

Get the electricity any way we can and phase out fossil fuels as alternative energy comes available.

How can we bring sustainable energy to the world? Practical and Viable solutions?

Considering the rising energy crisis in the world, What could be some solutions to shift from conventional energy sources to more reliable energy sources? Now, I would like detail on how to shift to sustainable energy. Not the types of sustainable energy.
Solutions should be logical and implementable on a global scale.
Be specific with reference to third world countries, If possible.

What would be a simple alternative energy school project?

For some dumb reason I thought a class called "Alternative Energy Today" wasn’t going to be about actually making something. Have any ideas for a project that involves reusable energy? Simplist one gets best answer.
